8 Years in Jail for disagreeing

Iran student gets 8 yrs over post-election protests

Three other people have been sentenced to death, one man was sentenced to seven years in jail and 74 lashes, over 100 have been charged with fomenting unrest, and thousands have been detained.

The Iranian Embassy in London protested against the decision of Queen's College, Oxford, to establish the Neda Agha-Soltan Graduate Scholarship in memory of a young woman killed during the post-election protests. Her death was recorded on video and seen by many people around the world.

No-one has been sentenced to anything for murdering her.

Fair play to Queen's - if the Iranian Embassy is upset then you must be doing something right.
