Tá sé not called Dingle in Poland

"Citizenship to involve language test," says the Irish Times

But why are they being tested in English, the second national language, and not in the first? I wonder will they have to make the English language test paper available in an Irish version: it's an official publication, after all.

Maybe the tests are in English because they know that if citizenship becomes dependent on an ability to speak Irish then the housing market really will collapse (on account of most of us having to leave).
